In 2023 two Tipperary players won the blue riband events in the National Pitch and Putt calendar.

Stephen O’Reilly (Hillview) won the Gents National Matchplay Championship, held in St. Bridgets in June. In doing so he became only the second-ever Tipperary winner of this event, following in the footsteps of Eoin Morrissey (also Hillview) who won the event in 1961.

Stephen Shoer (Riverdale) claimed the National Senior Strokeplay Championship, held in Riverdale in August. With his success in the strokeplay he became the first Tipperary player to win this championship.

In recognition of their achievements in 2023, both players were selected by the Tipperary United Sports Panel to receive their Annerville award at the awards evening on January 27th 2024.
